Gulf Shores, Alabama

Gulf Shores, Alabama

Gulf Shores is a popular snow bird destination and all of the RV parks were booked solid when I called to find a spot, so we ended up staying in a near(ish) town called Magnolia Springs, Alabama.  Our first stop outside of Florida in a very long time! We have been to Gulf Shores before, and fondly remembered Lamberts restaurant and getting rolls thrown at us, so our first night in town we headed in for some dinner.  The kids were so very excited to catch some rolls, and also their drinks were the size of horse buckets.  You couldn’t ask for more.

On Saturday we spent the day visiting with Eric’s grandparents and Uncle Larry and Aunt Peggy.  They own a condo in Gulf Shores, so we spent the day with them hanging out at the beautiful beach and catching up.

On Sunday, after church and some delicious seafood lunch we all headed over to the Naval Air Museum in Pensacola.  The museum was awesome, and it was free to get in!  They also had an airplane simulator ride which we let the kids (and Eric) try out.  It was a really great day, and great to spend some time visiting with family.
